Two more COVID warriors succumb to virus in Odisha’s Ganjam

Berhampur: In battle against Novel Coronavirus, two more COVID warriors succumbed to the deadly virus in hotspot Ganjam district, informed Ganjam Collectorate today.

The two martyrs have been identified as Dhanurdhar Swain, posted as the Tax Collector in Hinjilicut Municipality; and Muralidhar Pradhan, Sarpanch of Dhumusahi Gram Panchayat under Belaguntha Block.

The duo lost their lives while discharging duty in fight against COVID-19 for mankind.

“We lost our Covid Warrior. Entire District Administration is with their families. We request all people in Ganjam to follow social distancing norms . By doing this you will help our covid warriors in fighting this war,” said Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange.

In two separate condolence messages, he expressed his grief on behalf of district administration over death of two COVID warriors of Ganjam district.

Acknowledging the contribution of COVID warriors, Kulange said that their dedication and devotion towards service set an example for others and inspire others indeed in the war against COVID-19.

Two days ago, an Assistant Engineer of Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC), who was the COVID warrior, had died of the coronavirus after being infected with the virus while discharging his duty.
