Two more die of COVID-19 in Odisha, toll at 38

Bhubaneswar: COVID-19 claimed two more lives in Odisha as two persons died of the disease in the state, official sources said today.

The deceased belong to Ganjam and Jajpur districts, sources added. Jajpur registered its first death due to the disease while COVID toll in Ganjam reached 21.

The two have been identified as a 77-year-old man of Ganjam who was also suffering from hypertension and a 64-year-old man of Jajpur who was also a patient of diabetes, the Health Department said, adding that both died while undergoing treatment.

The state today also reported 456 fresh COVID cases as the tally reached 9526.
