Two more die of sunstroke in Odisha; heatwave alert for next 2 days

Bargarh: Two more persons died of sunstroke at Sarsara village in Bargarh district today. While one of the deceased duo was a farmer of Sarsara village, another was an elderly person of Gaisilat area in the district.

Yesterday, a labourer died due heat stroke in Nirakarpur of Khordha district.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre has issued yellow warning for 17 districts during the next three days. As per the latest bulletin issued by the weathermen, heatwave condition is likely to prevail at some places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundergarh, Deogarh, Angul, Bargarh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Boudh, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Cuttack, Khurda and Bhadrak during the next three days.

Yesterday, the maximum temperature of 45 degree Celsius was recorded at Sambalpur.
