Two more hospitalised in Odisha for suspected coronavirus

Bhubaneswar: As many as two persons were hospitalised in Odisha today for suspectedly being affected by novel coronavirus.

A youth of Sonepur district, who returned from Dubai on February 27, was admitted to the special ward at VIMSAR in Burla after he complained of cold and fever. Swab sample of the youth has been collected and sent to Bhubaneswar, hospital sources said.

Similarly, another person of Keonjhar has been admitted to the district headquarters hospital. He had recently returned home from Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Yesterday, an Uttar Pradesh-based couple, who returned from China, was admitted at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for suspected novel coronavirus. A cargo ship with 23 crew members, including the couple, had set sail from China on February 15 and arrived at Paradip Port on March 1 via Hong Kong and Singapore.
