Bhubaneswar: Of 75 COVID-19 cases reported in Odisha today, two fresh positive cases have been detected from Bhubaneswar.
The two new cases including a minor girl were found positive during the test conducted in the last 24 hours.
The two cases have been reported from home quarantine in Patia area under Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), informed BMC today.
The two cases included one 40-year-old male and one 8-year-old female. Both belong to one family with a travel history to Delhi.
Following two new cases, further contact tracing by the BMC is underway.
The primary contacts and nearby houses are being quarantined, sanitised and will be under active surveillance, the BMC said in a tweet.
With this, the total number of COVID cases in Bhubaneswar rose to 88, of which 34 cases are active. While 51 COVID patients have recovered from the disease, 3 deaths have been reported so far in the city.
