Two nurses in Cuttack test positive for COVID-19

Cuttack: Two COVID warriors working as nurses have tested positive for COVID-19 in Cuttack city, informed Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) here today.

They are among 7 new cases detected in Cuttack district in last 24 hours.

The two cases are the local contacts. While one is a 24-year-old female from Mangalabag area under CMC, another case is a 28-year-old male from Sagadia Sahi in Ranihat locality in Cuttack city.

Both of them are COVID warriors working as nurses at Acharya Harihar Regional Cancer Center, linked with an earlier positive case of Ganjam district detected at the cancer hospital in Cuttack, the CMC said.

With detection of two fresh cases, the COVID-19 tally in Cuttack city rose to 37 with 13 active cases. While 22 patients have recovered, two have succumbed to the virus in the city so far.
