Two Odia karatekas selected for Asian Games camp

Dilip Kumar Jena and Anupma Swain from Odisha left for Bhopal to join the national karate training the selection camp for the ensuing Asian Games to be held in South Korea in September this year.

The camp would continue from April 20 to May 10.

Dilip has won a gold medal in the 55 kg category in the National Karateka Championship last year and won a bronze medal in this year’s national championship.

Anupama has won two bronze medals in the 50 kg category in the women’s event in the national championship.

Both the players from the Utkal Karate School are representing the state on behalf of the Odisha State Karateka Association.
