Two Odisha hockey players – defender Amit Rohidas and goalkeeper Susant Tirkey – of Panposh Sports Hostel in Rourkela have been selected in the 18-member national squad for Junior Men’s Hockey World Cup to be played at New Delhi beginning from December 6.
Amit has been appointed as the vice-captain of the team announced by Hockey India on Thursday.
India, placed in Group-C along with Holland, Korea and Canada, will take on Holland on December 6, Canada on December 7 and Korea on December 10 in the final league match.

"We are excited that Amit and Susant have found place in the national team. Both the players are extremely talented and deserve a place in the World Cup squad. We are also extremely happy that Amit has been named as vice captain of the team," said in-charge of Panposh Sports Hostel AK Bihari.
