Two Odisha woman rowers in national team for Asian Games

Bhubaneswar, Sept 12:

Two woman rowers from Odisha—Sanjukta Dung Dung and Manjula Xess— have been selected for the 36-member national team for the 17th Asian Games at Incheon in South Korea beginning September 19.

The rowing event would be held at Chungju from September 20 to 25.

Sanjukata and Tarunikha Pratap of Tamil Nadu would participate in the open women’s coxless pair event while Manjula would participate in the lightweight women’s quadruple sculls event along with Dittymol Varghese of Kerala, Kh Monalisha Chanu of Madhya Pradesh and Th Chaoba Devi of Manipur.
