Two persons critical as truck overturns in Odisha
Bhanjanagar: Two persons were critically injured when an iron pipe-laden truck overturned at Kalinga Ghat bordering Ganjam and Kandhamal districts late last night.
The driver, J. Ravi from Markapur in Andhra Pradesh said the vehicle had a brake failure in the middle of the ghat. While negotiating a curve, Ravi applied brakes but the truck could not be brought under control. Following this, the vehicle fell from the ghat and overturned.

The truck’s helper, SK Khasim from Andhra Pradesh who was in the driver’s cabin sustained severe head injuries.
The two injured were admitted to Bhanjanagar hospital and later shifted to MKCG Hospital in Berhampur after their condition worsened.
