Jajpur: In a shocking incident, two persons reportedly died after coming in contact with live wire in Janindapal village of Tomka tehsil in Odisha’s Jajpur district here today.  The deceased were identified as Nitu Marndi (32) and Shyamsundar Marndi (45).

As per reports, Nitu belonged to Tangiriapala within Daitari police limits of Keonjhar but  was working as headmistress of Raighati Primary School and living in Janindapal. Similarly, Shyamsundar hailed from Chakradharpur of Mayurbhanj but was posted here as Railway Police constable.

While it is still unclear how the duo got electrocuted, police during preliminary investigation informed that they came in contact with live wire while drying clothes on it.
