Two persons trampled to death by tusker in Odisha’s Khordha

Khordha: Two persons were trampled to death by a tusker while they were sleeping inside their houses on Friday night in Tangi area of Khordha district.

The deceased persons have been identified as Bansidhar Chhual of Haj village and Sanatan Pradhan of Kalarajhar village under Tangi police limits.

Another person namely Braja Sahoo sustained critical injuries in jumbo attack. He was admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), Khordha, for treatment.

According to reports, a tusker strayed into two human habitats late on Friday night while the villagers were sleeping inside their houses.

Reportedly, the rampaging wild animal attacked Bansidhar and Sanatan while they were asleep by demolishing their houses. The two died on the spot.
