Two poachers arrested in Odisha’s Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal: The forest officials arrested two poachers with electric cables and an axe from Kapilas forest range in Dhenkanal district late on Wednesday night.

The accused poachers have been identified as Sarbeswar Dehury and Bishnu Dehury of Dahimal village in the district, informed DFO Prakash Chand Gogineni today.

The duo was caught while they were waiting to hunt wild animals at night on Wednesday.

A few days ago, one poacher was arrested in the district. The accused Dasharathy Nayak had allegedly laid electric cables on the ground for poaching at a reserve forest in Joranda.
