Two robbers nabbed in Odisha’s Cuttack, forwarded to court

The Twin City Commissionerate police in Odisha’s Cuttack today forwarded to court two notorious robbers.

According to police sources, they have been identified as Krishna Reddy and Sheikh Alamin. While Reddy is a native of Ganjam district in Odisha, Alamin hails from the neighbouring state of West Bengal.

Acting on a tip-off police patrol party on Wednesday night chased three bike-borne robbers near Aparna Nagar and could manage to capture two of them, while another managed to escape, police sources revealed.

While Reddy has as many as 20 cases pending against him in different police stations, Alamin has 15 cases against him. Police have seized a motorcycle and Rs 17,000 from their possession, police sources added.
