Two sisters drown in pond in Odisha's Mayurbhanj

In a tragic incident, two sisters drowned to death in a pond at Durgapur village under Baisinga police limits in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district today.

The deceased ware identified as Ranjita Nayak (9) and her younger sister Ruchi Nayak (8).

According to reports, the two minor girls met watery grave while they had gone to a nearby pond for bathing.

Their bodies were fished out of the pond by the locals and rushed to Baisinga hospital where doctors declared them dead.
