Two sisters go missing after ‘jumping’ into river in Odisha

Balangir: Two young sisters went missing today after reportedly jumping into the Tel River under Tushura police limits in Balangir district.

Local source said that the sister duo, the residents of Gudbhela area, jumped into the river by holding each other’s hands.

A firefighting team and the police rushed the site and found a scooter and missing sisters’ shoes on the bridge. It is suspected that the duo came to the place on their two-wheeler and took extreme step to end their lives over ‘unknown’ reason.

The search operation is underway to trace the sisters in water.
