Two SOG jawans critical in Maoist landmine blast in Odisha forest

Boudh: Two SOG Jawans sustained critical injuries after a landmine allegedly planted by Maoists exploded at Nalikumpa forest in the Boudh district of Odisha today.

The two injured security personnel were airlifted to the Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Balangir for treatment.

According to reports, the Maoists triggered a landmine while the SOG jawans were carrying out a search operation at Nalikumpa forest today morning.

Initial reports suggested that two security personnel, who were seriously injured in the incident, were first rushed to the Kantamal Community Health Centre (CHC) in Boudh district for treatment. Later, the administration arranged to airlift two jawans to Balangir.

However, the search operation is underway in the forest to bust the Maoist activities.
