Two staff of premier Odisha hospital arrested for fraud

Commissionerate Police today arrested two employees of Apollo Hospital, among the top private hospitals in Odisha, on charges of fraud.

Saheed Nagar police sources said they apprehended DGM of Apollo Hospital Amar Kumar Behera, and the hospital supervisor Pradip Kumar Pradhan for cheating a NALCO official.

The police added that the NALCO official was admitted to Apollo Hospital for treatment following an illness. After his discharge, the hospital authorities sent an exaggerated bill of Rs 4.14 lakh which was a forged bill, to the company.

“A complaint in this regard was lodged by Nalco manager (admin) BK Sahoo. Acting on it, a case has been registered and the duo was produced in a local court here today,” a senior official of Saheed Nagar police station said.
