Two students of Capital High School in Bhubaneswar test COVID positive

Bhubaneswar: Amid concern over the Omicron variant of COVID-19, two boy students of the Capital High School here have tested positive for the virus.

Informing about it, Jitendra Nayak, Headmaster, Capital High School said that samples of as many as 372 students of the school were collected by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) for COVID-19 test, yesterday.

Two of the students tested positive for the virus in antigen test, he said.

They were immediately kept in the isolation room while their parents were informed about it. The two students are currently under home isolation, the headmaster said.

After the incident, the classrooms were sanitised as per the COVID guidelines.

Classes in the school are currently underway with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols like wearing of masks and use of hand sanitizer, he added.
