Two women sexually exploited by hotel owner in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: Two women were allegedly sexually exploited by a hotel owner after engaging them at his hotel as employees in Odisha capital.

Showing dauntlessness, one of the victims lodged a complaint against the accused with Khandagiri police station alleging that her associate is still in confinement inside the hotel.

Acting on the basis of complaint, police launched investigation to find out the fact.

According to the complaint lodged by the victim, a month ago one of her friends had brought her and her friend to Bhubaneswar from Adaspur in Cuttack assuring them of providing them job in a hotel. They started working in a hotel under Khandagiri police limits. After one month of their job, the owner asked the victim to work at his house on high package to take care of his old mother. She agreed and worked at his house. After few days, the hotel owner started molesting her. He forced her for body massage when he found her alone. When she informed her friend about the owner’s behaviour, she found that her friend was already the victim of sexual exploitation in the hotel.

The victim fled the house and lodged the complaint with police on Tuesday. She alleged the owner of keeping her friend in confinement.

The hotel owner has threatened her and her friend with negative consequences if they register complaint with police, the complainant alleged.
