Two workers crushed to death under sack at rice mill in Odisha’s Nayagarh

Nayagarh: In a tragic incident, two workers were crushed to death under rice-packed sacks at a rice mill in Odagaon area of Odisha’s Nayagarh district, today.

The deceased have been identified as Rameshwar Dihudi of Tirisinga area in Ganjam district and Pramod Maharana of Badamba area.

According to reports, the two were checking the rice stockyard of Maa Mangala Rice Mill when the sacks fell on them, this morning.

They were rescued in a critical condition and rushed to the Odagaon Community Health Centre, where the two were declared dead.

On being informed, family members of the deceased reached the hospital.

Police have started an investigation into the incident.
