Two youths of Bihar held for transporting ganja in Odisha’s Koraput

Borigumma: The Special Task Force (STF) today arrested two youths from Bihar on charges of transporting ganja in a truck in Parli area on National Highway-26 in Koraput district.

Acting on a tip-off, the STF frisked a truck near Parli on Borigumma-Nabarangpur National Highway. During the search the STF found the contraband item concealed in the truck’s read side.

A total of 474 kg ganja, the truck and other incriminating materials were seized from the possession of the two youths namely, Lalan Pandit and Chandan Kumar Ram.

A case has been registered under Section 20 (b)(ii)(c)/29 of NDPS Act 1985 at the Borigumma police station. Investigation into the case is on, said a police official.
