Two youths rescued from train in Odisha in unconscious state

Two youths were today rescued from Puri Railway Station in Odisha in an unconscious state and were admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital.

The rescued have been identified as Antaryami Muduli (24) of Narasinghpur village in Cuttack district and Pritam Nayak of Gangapur village in Kendrapara district.

According to reports, both are employed in a private finance company in Bhubaneswar.

Yesterday, the duo had boarded Digha-Puri Superfast Express from Jajpur Road station for Bhubaneswar.

During their journey, a co-passenger befriended the unsuspecting victims and offered them tea and snacks laced with sedative.

Soon after, they lost consciousness owing which their belongings were allegedly looted.

It is suspected that the unidentified person has looted the youths after offering sedative-laced food and drinks, informed a police official.

They were admitted to District Headquarters Hospital where their condition is stated to be stable.
