U-19 inter-district cricket: century by Dibyasakti in the semi

Team Balasore made a solid start in the semi-final round of under-19 inter-district cricket tournament by scoring 197 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. Playing the match against Bhubaneswar-B at the DRIEMS ground, Balasore won the toss and opted to bat first.

Balasore’s Dibyashakti Chakrabarty scored a brilliant century and was well supported by Soumya Ranjan Das who scored a valuable half-century. The duo’s effort helped Balasore to post a dominating score at stumps on day-1 of the three-day-match. In another match played at the Ravenshaw Ground No-1, Jajpur won the toss and batted first against Cuttack-A.

The batting order failed to do much as the side ended up at 175 runs all out in 53.2 overs. In reply, Cuttack-A were 27 runs without any wickets in 7 overs at stumps on day-1.
