UGC sets up helpline for students, faculty members to address academic issues

New Delhi: In order to address the queries, grievances and other academic matters of students, teachers and institutions amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the University Grants Commission (UGC) today set up a helpline number and provided an email address to bring the issues before its notice.

The UGC has set up the dedicated help line number 011-23236374 to address the matters of students and faculty members. This apart, covid [email protected] email address has been created.

Students can also lodge their grievances on the existing online students grievance redressal portal of UGC at https://www.ugc.ac.in/grievance/student repaspx .

The UGC also constituted a Task Force to monitor concerns/ grievances of students, teachers, and institutions, and redress them accordingly.

On April 29, the UGC has issued Guidelines on Examinations and Academic Calendar in view of COVID-19 Pandemic.

Universities have also been asked to establish a cell for handling grievances of the students related to examinations and other academic activities arising due to this pandemic and notify the same to the students.
