Undertrial prisoner attempts suicide by slitting genitals in Odisha
Bhawanipatna: In a shocking incident, an undertrial prisoner lodged at Dharmagarh sub-jail in Odisha’s Kalahandi district attempted suicide by slitting his genitals inside cell today.
The UTP has been identified as Digambar Khamari, an accused in a dowry case.

According to reports, Digambar attempted to end his life by cutting his genitals with a razor, which was given by a jail official for purpose of his shaving on Sunday.
He was found lying in a pool of blood inside the jail. He was rushed to Dharmagarh Sub Divisional Hospital in a critical condition.
Source said that Digambar was lodged at the jail following his arrest in connection with a dowry case.
