Undertrial prisoner dies in Odisha’s Gajapati

Paralakhemundi: An undertrial prisoner who was lodged in Paralakhemundi sub-jail in Odisha’s Gajapati district died today.

The deceased has been identified as Jaypal Singh of Haryana. He was arrested on October 16 over his alleged involvement in smuggling ganja and lodged in the prison.

As per reports, he fell unconscious in the jail this morning and was rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital, where doctor declared him dead.
