Bhubaneswar: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has begun the budget speech in Parliament. She will present the Budget 2020-21 shortly.
In a significant change amid digitalisation, the Finance Minister today unveiled a ‘Made in India’ tablet replacing the traditional briefcase before presenting Budget 2021. The Budget comes at a time when the country is battling with COVID-19 pandemic and the economy is reeling under the aftermath of lockdowns and shutdowns.
"Atmanibhar package of Rs 27 lakh crore accelerated structural reforms. Fight against COVID-19 continues in 2021. This budget is a vision for Atmanibhar Bharat and will sustain the economic recovery," said the FM.

-Vehicle Scrapping Policy will be launched soon. That will be a voluntary scheme, the FM announced.
