Union Home Minister tests positive for COVID-19

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah today tested positive for deadly COVID-19. He has been admitted to a hospital in the national capital.

In a tweet, Shah said he’s feeling okay. Shah said that he got himself tested because there were “initial signs” of coronavirus. The Home Minister added he is fine but is getting admitted to a hospital on advice of doctors.

He also requested people who came in contact with him in past few days to keep themselves in isolation and go for testing.

India recorded 55,000 new cases on Sunday as the total cases crossed the 17 lakh mark. As many as 853 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours.
