Tanya also mentioned in the FIR that her father was forced to write a ‘compromise letter’ at gunpoint by the accused. The men destroyed the CCTV cameras and footage, ransacked the house, and looted valuables before fleeing the place, she alleged.

Investigating into the case, police have arrested as many as 15 persons, including a cop, in this connection.

According to information, Upasna’s husband Subhransu Sekhar Biswal had bought the house from one Bijay Nayak, a month ago. Pranab Kumar Ray was residing on the upper floor of the house with his family members as a tenant for the last 1.5 year. He was also running the office of his construction company on the ground floor.

Pranab had invested Rs 60 lakh towards the beautification and interior designing of the house. He was asked to vacate the house after Upasna’s husband bought it. Pranab then moved the court in this matter while it had directed to maintain the status quo, he said.
