Bhubaneswar: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released application forms for NDA 2020 entrance examination. The forms are available on its official website- www.upsconline.nic.in .
The exam will be conducted to fill  418 vacancies- 370 in the National Defence Academy (NDA) and 48 in Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme).
Every year, UPSC conducts a national level NDA entrance examination, twice (NDA-I and NDA-II) in April and November. Candidates aspiring for a career in the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force can apply for the exam. As per the selection procedure, candidates have to qualify the written test first and then appear for the SSB interview to enter NDA. Only those qualifying SSB will go further for the medical examination and document verification.

Eligibility Criteria: Only males between the age group of 16.5-19.5 years can apply. The candidate applying must be unmarried and has to stay as such until the completion of his training. He must be a citizen of India/ subject of Bhutan or Nepal or Refugee of Tibet. Candidates of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam can also apply producing the certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt of India. However, the subjects of Nepal need not have to produce a certificate.
Educational Qualification: Candidates appearing for Air Force and Naval Wings must have passed classes 10 and 12 from a recognized board or university with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects. For Army Wing of the NDA, candidates must have class 10 and 12 pass certificates. Those who are in their final year of qualifying may also apply.
Application Fee: Candidates have to deposit an application fee of Rs 100. However, the SC/ST/NCOs/Ors/ sons of JCOs will not have to pay the fee. For syllabus, exam pattern and further details, candidates are advised to visit UPSC’s official website.
