Utkal Bharat in seat sharing talks with Ama Odisha Party

Odisha Sun Times Bureau

Bhubaneswar, Mar 10:

After its talks with the BJP about a possible alliance or seat sharing arrangement for the coming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Odisha failed to make any headway, the Utkal Bharat party is now engaged in a discussion with the Ama Odisha Party (AOP)headed by Soumya Ranjan Patnaik for a seat sharing arrangement.

“It seems the BJP is not interested in an anti-BJD front. That’s why we are talking to Ama Odisha Party for a seat sharing arrangement,” Utkal Bharat leader Benudhar Samant said.

He said the talks have made ‘substantial’ progress and a formal announcement in this regard could be made at a joint press conference later today.
