Utkal University’s NAAC grade drops from A+ to A

Bhubaneswar: According to the latest National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) grading, Utkal University in Odisha has dropped from A+ to A. The university achieved an A grade with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.16 in the assessment.

Previously, in 2016, the university was accredited as A+. The NAAC is responsible for facilitating voluntary assessments of institutions to measure their performance against established parameters, with participation from the institution.

To be eligible for NAAC Assessment and Accreditation (A&A), Higher Education Institutions must have graduated at least two batches of students or have been in operation for six years, whichever is earlier.

The NAAC assesses the grade of higher educational institutions using various criteria, including Curricular Aspects, Teaching-Learning & Evaluation, Research, Innovations & Extension, Infrastructure & Learning Resources, Student Support & Progression, Governance, Leadership & Management, and Institutional Values & Best Practices.
