Vehicle documents in electronic form to be accepted in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Vehicle owners in Odisha need not to carry vehicle-related documents in physical form as the same produced in electronic form through mobile phone applications will be accepted.

The State Transport Commissioner has written to all SPs, DCPs, RTOs and Additional RTOs in this regard.

Documents pertaining to vehicle registration, insurance, fitness, permit, driving license, Pollution Under Control certificate etc. can be produced by the vehicle owners, if necessary, before the concerned officers through Digilocker or m-Parivahan mobile phone applications of the Central Government.

“Moreover, in case a citizen is unable to show the digital copy or information on Digilocker or m-Parivahan app, in such case the enforcement agency can verify the details of DL & RC on their m-parivahan app or e-challan app,” the Transport Commissioner wrote in the letter.
