Vehicle owners in Odisha can now book slots for HSRPs at Mo Seva Kendras

Cuttack: The State Transport Authority (STA) today asked people to visit Mo Seva Kendras for booking slots to affix High Security Registration Plates (HSRPs) on their vehicles.

“Now, vehicle owners can apply for HSRPs in the nearby Mo Seva Kendras as per their convenience. Till now, vehicle owners were booking their slots by visiting online portal—www.siam.in. The facility has now been extended to Mo Seva Kendras for the benefit of people residing in remote areas and having poor knowledge of technology,” said the STA.

The Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC) has made the required facility available at Mo Seva Kendras. The initiative will help people of interior areas where internet facility is inadequate, added the STA.

This apart, HSRP facilitation cenetres have been made functional at all RTO and ARTO offices by the OEMs (vehicle manufacturers). “The authorized vendors of OEMs have opened temporary HSRP fitment centres at several places across the state,” said the Transport Authority.

The STA further informed that fitment of HSRPs on existing locally-manufactured trailers and vehicles registered prior to April 1, 2019 whose manufactures has closed down their businesses can be done at the RTO from where the vehicles had been purchased.

Notably, fitment of HSRPs on vehicles registered prior to April 1, 2019 has been made mandatory in the state.
