Venkaiah Naidu’s Odisha visit cancelled

Bhubaneswar: Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu’s visit to Odisha today was cancelled due to inclement weather. He was scheduled to inaugurate LPG bottling plant in Balangir during his one-day visit today.

The VP was also scheduled to attend the inaugural ceremony of Rajendra College’s platinum jubilee celebrations today.  Naidu, who is currently at Raipur in Chhattisgarh, waited for two hours at the airport to board the special chopper to Balangir. He later returned to Raj Bhawan, sources said.

However, Governor Ganeshi Lal later dedicated the LPG bottling plant of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Balangir MP Sangeeta Singh Deo, Minister Arun Sahoo and Balangir MLA Narasingha Mishra were present among others.
