Verbal abuse of Odisha MP: Police complaint filed

Cuttack: The personal security officer (PSO) of Kendrapara MP and actor Anubhav Mohanty today filed a written complaint at Purighat police station against Biju Chhatra Janata Dal’s (BCJD) vice president Manjeet Das accusing him of threatening the Parliamentarian.

Late last night the Kendrapara MP was allegedly abused by some miscreants near his residence in Nandi Sahi in the city.

In a series of tweets, Mohanty had mentioned about Manjeet creating ruckus in the locality. After he intervened, the accused hurled abuses at him, the MP had alleged.

“Manjeet Das and his associates thrashed me. Though police reached the spot, they didn’t take any action against Manjeet. When Anubhav Mohanty intervened in the matter, Manjeet abused him using slangs,” said a youth in a video posted by the parliamentarian on Twitter.
