Very heavy rain forecast in 13 Odisha districts till tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: As the low pressure over north Bay of Bengal lies over southeast Jharkhand and adjoining areas of Odisha, as many as 13 districts in the state have been issued yellow alert due to forecast of impending rain.

As per the prediction of the Indian Meteorological Centre, heavy to very rainfall is very likely in isolated places of Bargarh, Bolangir, Boudh, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, Keonjhar, Koraput, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Sambalpur and Sundergarh.

Squally weather with gusty wind reaching 40-50 kmph is also likely along the Odisha coast and off it, according to the weather bulletin. Such weather conditions will prevail till 8:30 am tomorrow.

Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea along and off the coast of Odisha during the next 24 hours.
