Very heavy rainfall in these Odisha districts in next 5 days

Bhubaneswar: The Southwest monsoon will cover all parts of Odisha in next two-three days, said the Regional Meteorological Centre here today.

The weathermen stated the pre-monsoon shower, which has been experienced in many parts of the State including the twin city of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, will create favourable condition for the complete onset of the southwest monsoon.

The meteorological centre further said different districts are likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall in next five days.

Day-1 (valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 20.06.2022) – Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha – Yellow Warning 1.Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Odisha. 2. Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Mayurbhanj, Boudh, Angul, Keonjhar.

Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 20.06.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 21.06.2022) – Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at many places over the districts Odisha – Yellow Warning 1. Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Cuttack, Kendrapara Jajpur, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Boudh, Bolangir. 2. Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kandhamal, Ganjam, Kendrapara Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Cuttack.

Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 21.06.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 22.06.2022) – Light to Moderate Rain or Thunderstorm very likely to occur at most places over the districts of coastal Odisha and at many places over the districts of Interior Odisha – Yellow Warning 1. Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Boudh, Deogarh. 2. Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Mayurbhanj. 3. Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Dhenkanal, Angul, Boudh, Sambalpur.

Day-4 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 22.06.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 23.06.2022) – Light to Moderate Rain or Thunderstorm very likely to occur at many places over the districts Odisha – Yellow Warning Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Angul, Bolangir, Sonepur, Kalahandi.

Day-5 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 23.06.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 24.06.2022) – Light to Moderate Rain or Thunderstorm very likely to occur at many places over the districts Odisha – Yellow Warning Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh.
