Bhubaneswar: Due to the prevalent monsoon trough, heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places in twelve districts of Odisha during next 24 hours. India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre today issued Orange Warning in some districts for next two days.
In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD regional centre mentioned, “The well marked Low Pressure Area over Westcentral and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal off north Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coasts persists and the associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 Km above mean sea level. It is likely to concentrate into a Depression over the same region during next 24 hours. Subsequently, it is likely to move slowly northwestwards across north Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coasts.”
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of South Odisha, North Coastal Odisha and at many places over the districts of North Interior Odisha.
The highest maximum temperature of 34.6oC was recorded at Cuttack, Sambalpur and Hirakud and the lowest minimum temperature of 23.4oC was recorded at Nuapada in the plains of Odisha.

Yellow Warning (Be Updated)- Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur and Mayurbhanj.

Yellow Warning (Be Updated)- Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Bolangir, Puri and Boudh.
