Bhubaneswar: Veteran journalist Ramahari Mishra today passed away here at a private clinic.
He was suffering from age related illness. He was 85 and is survived by two sons and a daughter.
Last year, his wife had passed away.
Mishra was associated with a media agency. Earlier, he had worked with leading newspapers like Anand Bazar Patrika, National Herald and Odia daily Kalinga.
He was one of the journalists, who had played a significant role in fighting for media rights during emergency, India's second freedom struggle, clamped by the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
