Vice Admiral SH Sarma from Odisha no more

Bhubaneswar: Vice Admiral S.H. Sarma, PVSM (Veteran) passed away today evening at a hospital in Bhubaneswar. He was 100 years old.

The Indian Navy sources said Odisha-born Vice Admiral Sarma breathed his last at 6:20 PM today. His mortal remains will be taken to his home - Navy House, A/9 Nilakantha Nagar, Bhubaneswar, by 12.30 PM on January 4, 2022 where people can pay tributes to him.

Cremation will be performed at Swargadwar on January 5, the sources added.

Vice Admiral Sarma had celebrated his 100th birthday on December 1, 2021. He also took part in Azadi ka Amrut Mahostav celebration in Delhi recently.
