Video journalist from Odisha wins Ramnath Goenka award
Bhubaneswar: Doordarshan Cameraperson Achyutananda Sahu from Odisha, who was martyred in Dantewada naxal attack, has been conferred with the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards.
In the reporting from Conflict Zones category, Sahu won the award posthumously.
On behalf of the martyr, his wife Himanchali Sahu received the coveted award from President Ram Nath Kovind during a function held on January 20 in New Delhi.

Achyutananda Sahu from Sonepur district of Odisha had joined the Doordarshan in New Delhi in 2011. He was killed when a Maoist squad had attacked the police personnel escorting a three-member team of the national broadcaster near Nilawaya village on October 30, 2018 ahead of Assembly election in Chhattisgarh.
