Keonjhar: Villagers of Deojhar under Joda block of Odisha's Keonjhar district reportedly pushed an employee of an industrial company into a drain, which was allegedly polluted due to release of contaminated water from the industry.

A video of the incident had surfaced on social media.

As per reports, the villagers confronted some employees from the industry, accusing them of causing the death of a cow that drank the polluted water.

During a discussion aimed at resolving the issue, some agitated villagers reportedly pushed one of the industry employees into the drain.

While the industry management has refused to comment on the matter, the villagers have also refrained from speaking publicly.

This incident is not the first of its kind. In the past, fish had died due to the polluted water, sparking sharp reactions from the locals.
