Vigilance sleuths today conducted simultaneous raid on the residence of Kalakar Kansarali, a junior clerk in the office of land acquisition officer, Jharsuguda, at Chithuapada near Puruna Jharsuguda town, his native village at Lodhapashi in Kuchinda of Sambalpur district and his office room at Jharsuguda.

During the raid, the anti-corruption officials found movable and immovable assets disproportionate to his known sources of income in his own name and in the name of his family members.

The movable assets include costly household articles , one Bajaj  Boxer motorcycle, one Yamaha Scooty together worth Rs 5,53,093, gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 1,33,000, deposits in different  banks and investments in insurance companies to the tune of Rs 20,953 and cash of Rs 750.

The immovable assets include one double-storied building and one temple inside the campus at Chithuapada worth Rs 39,87,963. The total amount would be approximately Rs 46,95,759.

The raids were still on till the reports last came in.
