Vigilance raid at junior clerk’s house, office

Vigilance sleuths today conducted simultaneous raid on the residence of Kalakar Kansarali, a junior clerk in the office of land acquisition officer, Jharsuguda, at Chithuapada near Puruna Jharsuguda town, his native village at Lodhapashi in Kuchinda of Sambalpur district and his office room at Jharsuguda.
During the raid, the anti-corruption officials found movable and immovable assets disproportionate to his known sources of income in his own name and in the name of his family members.
The movable assets include costly household articles , one Bajaj Boxer motorcycle, one Yamaha Scooty together worth Rs 5,53,093, gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 1,33,000, deposits in different banks and investments in insurance companies to the tune of Rs 20,953 and cash of Rs 750.
The immovable assets include one double-storied building and one temple inside the campus at Chithuapada worth Rs 39,87,963. The total amount would be approximately Rs 46,95,759.
The raids were still on till the reports last came in.
State Vigilance performance is not at all satisfactory in Odisha, I have registered one written complaint with the Additional DG & IG, Vigilance Department against one class thee corrupt government servant for accumulating unaccounted immovable and movable property(Amounting around Rupees Three Crores) in his wife’s name in different places in Odisha. I have registered this complaint on 25.10.2013 with documentary proof which I got as information Under RTI act from different government departments but One Hundred & Thirty Four(134) Days passed Odisha Vigilance Department has not taken any action. That is why public in Odisha are demanding to bring the Vigilance Department under Odisha Lokyukta.
