Villagers nab serial looters in Odisha’s Nabarangpur

Nabarangpur: Locals nabbed two serial looters in Papadahandi area of Odisha’s Nabarangpur district and handed them over to police.

While three robbers were escaping on a motorcycle after committing loot, residents of Nuaguda village nabbed two of them and another managed to flee the spot.

The wrongdoers had earlier snatched a gold chain worth Rs 15,000 from the possession of a woman, looted Rs 1,100 and a mobile phone from a youth, and robbed Rs 6,000 from a woman in the area.

The accused have been identified as Santosh Harijan (23) of Nabarangpur town, Lingaraj Mallick (24) and Bishudan Harijan, the person who has absconded.

A motorcycle having no registration number plate, masks and knives have been seized from them.
