Khordha, Feb 9:

Villagers nabbed two looters and handed them over to police in Odisha’s Khordha district this morning while they were trying to flee away after looting an employee of a private financial firm.

According to police, the victim, identified as Dipu Nayak, was returning after collecting money from customers of Kashipur village under Nirakarpur police limits in the district this morning.

Three unidentified miscreants threatened him on the way at gunpoint and fled away with his bag containing the collection money.

Dipu raised an alarm shouting loudly and nearby people ran to capture them.

However, luck was not in their favor as Kashipur Railway crossing gate, through which they were about to pass, was closed and two of them were chased by locals while another one managed to give villagers a slip.

Gun, cash, mobile phone and a bike were seized from their possession.
