Bhubaneswar: Odisha government effected a brief reshuffle today at the IPS level and as many as two senior officers were transferred elsewhere.

As per a notification issued in this regard, at present Special Director General of Police (Communication) and 1988-Batch IPS Officer Arun Kumar Ray was transferred and posted as Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Home Department.

Similarly, at present Special Director General of Police of Human Rights Protection Cell (HRPC) and 1989-Batch IPS Officer SM Narvane was transferred and posted as Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Home Department.

However, Director and Additional Director General of Police of State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB) and 1993-Batch IPS Officer Vinaytosh Mishra has been allowed to remain in additional charge of DG, Fire Services and CG, Home Guards and Director of Civil Defence, in addition to his own duties until further orders, another notification mentioned.
