Violence in Utkal varsity campus in Odisha capital over expiry drugs

Angry students this evening ransacked the health centre inside Utkal University campus in the Odisha capital over allegations of expired medicines being dispensed to fellow students from the facility.

According to reports, several students of the varsity allegedly fell sick after consuming expired medicines dispensed to them by the health centre.

Following the development, students led by one Mahesh Prasad, a student leader ransacked the health centre premises, reports added.

However, health centre authorities have refuted charges of having dispensed expired medicines to any of the students.

Tension prevailed in the campus till reports last came in.
