Viral video: Odisha youth circulates clip of intimate moment with girlfriend

Dhenkanal: A youth has fled after allegedly circulating intimate videos of his girlfriend on social media in Parjanga area of Dhenkanal district.

As per reports, one Biplab Kumar Sahoo of Basoi Kusumanali village was in a relationship with a young woman of Badajhara. He had allegedly recorded videos of their intimate moments on his phone with the promise of getting married to her.

“Later, he and some people of our village circulated these videos on social media,” alleged the young woman.

Though her family approved of their match and wanted them to get married, Biplab showed no interest. “There was a marriage proposal of Biplab for our daughter. The boy recorded their videos, made them viral and later refused to get married. We have registered a case in Parjanga police station regarding this matter,” said the father of the victim.

According to sources, the accused circulated the video clip on a WhatsApp group and is currently absconding.

Ananda Kumar Dungdung, IIC of Parjang police station stated that a rape case has been registered against the accused (case no. 165/19) and investigation is underway.
